Granola pricing in 2026: the free plan, the 30-day catch, and what Business costs
Full disclosure: I make MeetMouse, and Granola is the competitor I respect most. No bot, great notes. Here's what it costs, read off granola.ai on October 20, 2026.
Download MeetMouse freeFree for 3 meetings a week. No bot, and your meeting stays on your Mac.
Granola's pricing page is short, which I like. The one line that matters is the free plan's history limit, because that's the thing that turns a free user into a paying one.
Every Granola plan
| Plan | Price | Meeting history | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 | 30 days | AI meeting notes, AI chat within and across meetings, shared folders, templates, multi-language support, opt out of model training |
| Business | $14/user/month | Unlimited | Basic, plus advanced AI models, Attio, Notion, HubSpot, Affinity and Zapier integrations, MCP and API access, central billing |
| Enterprise | $35/user/month | Unlimited | Business, plus admin controls and enterprise security |
The 30-day catch
The free plan doesn't limit how many meetings you take notes on. It limits how far back you can see. That's a smart pricing choice: you get hooked on the notes in week one, and in week five you go looking for that call with the investor and it's behind the paywall.
If you only care about this week's meetings, free is fine forever. If your notes are a record you come back to, plan on Business.
What a team pays
| Team size | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person | $14/mo ($168/yr) | n/a |
| 10 people | $140/mo | $350/mo |
| 25 people | $350/mo | $875/mo |
Is Granola worth paying for?
For a lot of people, yes. The notes are genuinely good, nobody named Granola joins your call, and $14 is less than most bot notetakers. If the bot was your only problem with Fathom or Otter, this is probably your answer.
The one thing to know: Granola captures audio on your computer, but the notes are written with cloud AI. So it fixes the bot, not the cloud. For calls where nothing should leave your laptop, that matters.
When I'd pick something else
That's the gap I built MeetMouse for. No bot like Granola, but transcription and the default AI run on your Mac, so it works with Wi-Fi off. You also get live nudges during the call, not just notes after. Free for 3 meetings a week after an unlimited first week, with notes never locked; $20 once for unlimited. It's Mac only and has no team workspace.

Questions
- Is Granola free?
- Yes. The Basic plan is $0 and includes AI meeting notes, AI chat within and across meetings, shared folders and templates. The catch is history: you can only see meetings from the last 30 days.
- How much is Granola Business?
- $14 per user per month. It adds unlimited meeting notes and history, access to more advanced AI models, and integrations with Attio, Notion, HubSpot, Affinity and Zapier, plus API access.
- What happens to my Granola notes after 30 days on the free plan?
- Granola's comparison table lists meeting history as 30 days on Basic and unlimited on paid plans. Upgrading to Business gets you unlimited history. Check Granola's help docs for how older notes are handled before you rely on them.
- Is there a free Granola alternative without the 30-day limit?
- MeetMouse is free for 3 meetings a week after an unlimited first week, and your notes are never locked or hidden. Like Granola, no bot joins. Unlike Granola, transcription and AI run on your Mac. Fathom is free with unlimited recordings, but a bot joins by default.
