The best AI meeting coach (2026): live feedback during the call
Full disclosure: I make MeetMouse, which used to be called MeetingCoach. If you searched for that name, you're in the right place. This page also covers the coaches I didn't build, and when they're the better pick.

What an AI meeting coach actually does
Most meeting tools are notetakers. They tell you what happened after it's over. A coach tries to change what happens, and the timing matters a lot. A cue that says "you've been talking for four minutes" is useful at minute four. In a recap the next day it's trivia.
So the first question isn't which app. It's whether you want feedback during the call, after it, or before it.
What MeetMouse coaches out of the box
Out of the box MeetMouse watches for five things, on purpose. More cues sounds better until you're getting pinged every ninety seconds. The defaults:
Long stretches. You've been talking a long time in one go. Stacked questions. You asked three things at once, so they'll answer the easiest. No next steps. The meeting is nearly over and nobody has said what happens next. Soft commitments. Someone said "I'll try to get to it" and no date got pinned. And one green: when you lock an owner and a date out loud, it tells you that landed.
About twenty more cues are off by default and one switch away in Coaching Style: interruptions, unanswered questions, the other person going quiet, a worry that got passed over, time checks. Cues show in a small overlay that's hidden from screen shares and recordings, so the other people on the call never see it.
If you only run 1:1s, the meeting coach for managers guide goes deeper on that.
1. MeetMousemine
Mine. It listens on your Mac (no bot joins), shows a live transcript and talk balance, and gives you the cues above during Zoom, Meet or Teams calls. Transcription and AI run on your Mac by default, so a coaching session about a hard conversation doesn't end up on anyone's server.
It doesn't do delivery coaching like filler-word counts, and there's no team dashboard. Mac only.
2. Poised
The closest thing to MeetMouse, and better at a different job. Poised coaches how you sound, live, and it's good at it. Processing happens in Poised's cloud and it's a subscription. If the feedback you keep getting is "too many ums," start here. MeetMouse vs Poised goes through the trade-offs.
3. Otter
Otter is a notetaker at heart, and a very good one for searching old meetings. Its sales pages now advertise live coaching tips during calls. If your company already pays for Otter, try those before buying anything else. A bot joins by default, and everything is stored in Otter's cloud.
4. Gong
Gong is what people at bigger sales orgs mean by "call coaching": every call recorded, scored and reviewed by a manager afterwards. Powerful for a team, but it's a company purchase, not something you install for yourself.
5. Yoodli
Yoodli is practice, not the real meeting. You roleplay with an AI or upload a recording and get feedback on it. Good before a big presentation or job interview. It won't help in the moment of an actual call.
My pick
If you want to get better at meetings while they're happening and keep them private: MeetMouse. If it's your delivery: Poised. If you manage a sales team: Gong. If you want reps before the real thing: Yoodli.
What I'd do today
- Pick one habit to fix this week. Talking too long is the most common one.
- Turn on only the cue for that habit. One useful nudge beats ten ignored ones.
- After three meetings, check the recap. Did the cue fire less?
- Try MeetMouse for your next week of calls. The first week is unlimited, then it's free for 3 meetings a week.
Questions
- What is an AI meeting coach?
- Software that gives you feedback on how you run meetings. Live coaches nudge you during the call; post-call coaches score the recording afterwards; practice coaches let you rehearse with an AI first.
- Is MeetMouse the same as MeetingCoach?
- Yes. MeetingCoach was renamed MeetMouse in September 2026. Same app, same team, and existing installs updated automatically.
- Is there a free AI meeting coach?
- MeetMouse is free: unlimited your first week, then 3 meetings a week, with notes never locked. Unlimited is $20 once. Yoodli has a free plan for practice roleplays.
- Can other people on the call see the coaching?
- Not with MeetMouse. Cues show in an overlay that's excluded from screen shares and recordings, and no bot joins the call.
- Does an AI meeting coach record my calls?
- Depends on the tool. Bot-based tools record to their cloud. MeetMouse transcribes on your Mac and keeps the meeting there by default; if you add your own Claude or OpenAI key, meeting text goes to that provider.
- Which meetings does MeetMouse work with?
- Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other calls on your Mac, because it listens to your Mac's audio instead of joining the call.
